We are a multidisciplinary team of creative professionals dedicated to strategically develop, support and advise on the areas of social-, technological- and economic innovation for the benefit of Aruba's vision to create a sustainable society. BI is part of the Ministry of General Affairs, Sustainable Development, Innovation and Science and was established in 2014.

Mobile Tech Lab

We are thrilled to announce that our proposal to create a Mobile Tech Lab for Aruba has been accepted and we are in the start up process of making it become reality. After we build a container filled with the latest technology, this mobile Tech Lab will visit the schools and after school programs on the island where kids will learn all about 3D-printing, robots, VR-glasses and computer programming.

Green'S'Cool

How do you want to see Aruba in 2046? Imagine it, design it and send it to us! Aruba is finally a plastic-bag-free island since the introduction of the new law – banning free plastic bags since the beginning of 2017. In light of this positive development, Green'S'Cool Foundation — established by the Bureau of Innovation — is creating Aruba's official biodegradable reusable shopping bag with designs created by our own locals.

TEDxAruba

After a sold out debut event last year, TEDxAruba returns to share more ideas worth spreading and more actions worth doing within the spectrum of Technology, Education and Design. As initiators and organizers of TEDxAruba, The Bureau of Innovation invited nine influential local and international speakers to imagine new realities by asking themselves "WHAT IF...?" on the 23rd of September 2016.

Awacadabra

Aruba's only Beach Coney Island for kids returns on the 2nd of July 2016. As creator of this concept, the Bureau of Innovation now assists B1Community Foundation in organizing this social attraction park. Every attraction is paired with a local NGO, where the organization may use the attraction free of charge and receives 100% of the funds collected by the attraction.
